We all know Lucas was in on that, too. If he'd just told Roman the truth after the accident where he almost killed himself and Will, it never would have gotten to the point where Sami was on death row. If you want Sami in a semi healthy relationship, your choices are Brandon or Rafe.
Thats already hashed and done. We all know it was Lucas who saved Sami from that. That was mostly Kate's doing. Sorry, that does not wash with me and will not ever wash with me. NEXT!
I've added links showing that Lucas was all too happy to lie and have Sami sent to prison. Yes, it's already been hashed out and I'm not going to argue about it and don't expect anyone to change their mind, but I don't have to sit back and watch history be rewritten either.
Showing links to scenes is perfect, but from a write up you don't always get the full effect of some of the scenes. The written transcript doesn't show the remorse. Or the various times that he almost confessed to the killing. To the times he sparred with Kate over what they had done. To the times that he drank himself into a stupor because the guilt got to him. The times he wondered and almost told Sami herself. Then to top it all off, Kate KNEW she couldn't trust Lucas to be around town when the decision came from death row, to the point that she made SURE he was out of town when the final decision came through. By the time that Lucas burst into the chamber, he didn't know that Kate was working behind the scenes to get the convict to confess to the killing and for the Governor to stay the execution. He confessed without knowing what she did and sure he was still a coward for not saying it sooner, and even later he rescinded the confession when he figured out that Kate had gotten someone else to take the blame for Franco's death. But at least he tried....because his conscience got the better of him....that is a true grey character and I just wish that Lucas was that way again, this is the Lucas I fell in love with:

Death row was the worse for Lumi, but at least he showed regret...I'm still waiting for Ej to show regret for going along with Stefano's doppelganger (it's sort of similar, it wasn't Ej's idea, he went with it though), or for Sami to show she regretted trying to kill EJ. At it's worse...it's still didn't play out any worse than both of those other examples I gave, but I do agree that these characters twisted past is the main reason we are probably still invested today.

Will had the line of the day: What did he(EJ) see in his mother? That's a question we would all like to know.

It's pretty obvious that Will has a crush on EJ.

The idea that Will sees EJ as better than his mother is what pisses me off the most about what these hacks have done to this character. Will has no loyalty to his family and his rants about Sami are stupid. Whether you agree with Sami or not, Sami had a reason for being pissed off at Marlena.

Will has no reason. They are using Will to pimp EJ, like they did at with Lucas years ago. Will hates EJ, despises him. Sami didn't destroy his family. EJ did.

This show is plain shit!

LOVED EJ's apartment today! He must be the only person to have a real TV in his house in Salem. So nice to see him away from that nastified sofa at DiMansion. Maybe Ejami can break in his new couch? Loved the Ejami scenes today as always especially the last bit where Sami dares him to underestimate her and EJ laughing when she walked out.

Ugh, Rafe! Agent Spencer however . . . well, let's just say I'm intrigued. I wonder if he'll keep popping up in the future? It was rather stupid though when he said "maybe they wore gloves" after how many days after Stefano was shot??? No kidding Sherlock!!! As dumb as Agent Spencer looks for only just now thinking about the possibility of the shooter wearing gloves, how dumb does it make super-cop Rafe look that he hadn't even considered that possibility?

Will's getting quick with his comebacks to EJ; the "Why did you want some?" retort after EJ asked if he'd stopped by Sami's for some milk and cookies! Classic! Will be interesting to see what happens when the dynamics change when Will gets the upper hand on EJ.
I really liked EJ's apartment, too! The lighting at the DiMera mansion has been awful, lately! Way too much light on the individuals and way too much darkness in the background.

I like Agent Spencer, too! I was also glad with his more realistic response to Nicole about her gathering evidence from EJ's apartment.

But nobody's claiming he didn't show regret or want to confess (the links and post even mention that he did). We've already gotten the 'Lucas is the hero' part of the story; this is just another facet to it that doesn't need to be pushed off on Kate. As for EJ, I'd be the first to agree that he needs to express some regret (although I think handing the kids over was a tacit admission of guilt) and that the minute EJ was drawn into Stefano's scheme, he was just as responsible as if he'd been the mastermind. I think I've made myself as clear as possible, so I'm letting the subject die on my end. Anyone who feels like there's something more to be said to my post can just pm me, so as not to let this take over the thread.

I've been loving the lighting changes in the DiMera mansion lately -- moody, dramatic, full of mysterious shadows. IMO, the lighting at DiMansion is PERFECT and is the way it should be. I've LOATHED the over-lit look this show has had for eons. In fact, I've been noticing subtle lighting changes all over the place that are definitely towards the better. "Inside" actually looks like INSIDE now.

Agreed. I hope they keep the lighting at the DiMansion the same as it's been in recent episodes!

Loved the EJAMI, EJILL and WilSon scenes today!

I'm starting to believe more and more that Will is in fact crushing on EJ. Was Will thinking about making a pass at EJ or something when he headed for the door, turned around to look at EJ, and it seemed as if he was about to walk towards him but stopped?

Freddie Smith did a great job today. Every time I read recaps when it sounds like Sonny is just going to be a wet blanket, he makes it work. Sonny comes off as just hesitant enough to speak and genuinely worried about Will. Sonny's blushing reaction to Lucas's questioning was adorable. Sonny manages to be both confident and insecure simultaneously, and yet it works.

I love the town square set! Just had to say that. I just kept thinking it in my head throughout the episode.

Looks like EJ moved into the Austin's old apartment, the one that became Billie's and then Lucas' and then Stephanie's.

Will asking EJ what he ever saw in Sami rubbed me the wrong way. Any other character may have been able to say that and pull it off,but not Will. Will was there as EJ was "falling in love" with Sami and there was nothing about it that should make Will think it was real and wonder what EJ saw in her. That was just contrived dialogue to prop EJ and Sami as a couple.

Loved the mention of Lucas being Victor's stepson, even though it was never legal, but I'm pretty sure Lucas was well into adulthood by the time he looked at Victor as a stepfather. He shouldn't have been worried about Victor catching him sneaking back into the mansion. But I understand the connection they were trying to make, giving Lucas and Sonny something in common to make the next part of their discussion come naturally since they've never really shared scenes together prior. And I love that Sonny is more concerned about Will not being ready for a relationship with another guy, rather than his own desire to be in one. Justin and Adrienne sure raised a great guy.

Question: Have Abe, Marlena, Bo, Hope and John really not ever killed someone?

Surely somewhere along the line they have killed someone particularly if they believed that person to be evil incarnate?

I would have thought Marlena already had several attempted murders against Stefano ... didn't she put him in a coma once?

Once again confused by SPD logic.

Episode wasn't that bad.

Lucas and Sonny's scenes were well done. But Lucas's shirt was an eyesore.

Will and Sonny's scenes were good but Will was lying through his teeth to him so don't know how much I can
really be behind WilSon when Sonny's got no idea who he's dealing with.

Will and EJ/EJ and Sami's scenes were well done. Milk and cookies was funny, as was EJ's ruffling Sami over losing her job.

Will asking EJ about what he saw in his mother was contrived to make EJ at a loss for words and blumber. It also made it appear like Will is jealous. Coming off the scenes of Sonny and Lucas discussing his feelings for Will is interesting.

Liked Nicole and EJ's scenes at the pub.

I would like Agent Spencer to stay on, he's a breath of fresh air for the Salem PD. Rafe should be fired and be gone. Keep Bo
and Agent Spencer.

My WTF of the episode, why does EJ have 2 photos of Sami in his apartment when he's married to someone else & he and Sami are not exactly BFF's? Why does he have pictures of Sami period? I'll let the Ali photo slide since she's Johnny's twin and he helped raise her.

Yeah, I still don't know what to make of Will in regards to EJ. It does seem like he might have a crush..but hard to say. He also seemed to be feeling something more than friendship with Sonny. He got awfully shy and awkward when asking him if he wanted to see a movie. I just loved Sonny's reaction when Lucas asks him about his feelings. I think it's the first time I've seen Sonny actually show some kind of emotion...like pure emotion. When people say he is one-note, I don't totally disagree. I still really like him, but I haven't seen much from him either. And the Will and EJ scenes...did anyone notice how Will kept moving closer and closer to EJ while sitting on the couch? He sat..then scooted, then scooted, closer and closer. I just thought it was odd and funny...and made me think he might be crushing because he kept wanting to get closer. :D

Will can have a crush on EJ and admire his power and control and money, and he can still have legitimate feelings for Sonny that go beyond friendship. The two are not mutually exclusive, especially since the show would never move Will's crush on EJ any further than the crush stage.

I think Will hates EJ, but he does crush on him because of the power, money and control. It is possible to be attracted to someone you hate. EJ's been in Will's life a long time, creating a lot of chaos and for the most part getting what he wants. I can see Will, whose life has been unstable since before he was born, being drawn to the idea of EJ's power. It's the dark flip side to the happy family with Rafe and Sami that Will seemed to value so much. It's funny, despite all the Rafe and Safe pimping Will has done, you've never gotten a hint that Will might be attracted to Rafe.

Sonny, on the other hand, is actually someone who could provide the stable, loving family life Will has always wanted. Will just needs to figure that out. He might realize it, but he also might be scared and think he somehow doesn't deserve it.

I say it almost every time Sonny is on...Yes, he's a little corny...but the scenes with Lucas really melted me.

I've said it before, but often read spoilers and think - great, Sonny's being a drip again. And then FS turns on the charm and I remember that I love Sonny, and I believe he really is a decent guy who cares about Will and doesn't want him doing anything self destructive. I actually like the idea of Will's parents shipping Wilson, because let's face it, Sonny is exactly the kind of guy you'd want your gay son to date and/or marry. The fact that Lucas and Sami have been written to see this is utterly adorable. Far better than some contrived reason for them not to like Sonny. I remember on GH when Tracy Q inexplicably objected to Georgie as not good enough for her son, and I feared something like that might be afoot. Thankfully, not.

Anything that keeps Will and Sonny apart will be driven by Will's issues, not external factors. On the other hand, there needs to be some balance. Both Luke & Noah on ATWTs had emotional issues and insecurities that would flare up. It wasn't always one or the other who was right. They better give Sonny some layers, or he'll come off as Will's caretaker not boyfriend.

I love these kind of scenes between EJAMI... this is the reason I love this couple so much. Every time Sami says "I hate you EJ.." its basically almost like hearing "I love you EJ.." LOL
